A Mosin Nagant 91/30 for the CMP’s Vintage Sniper Rifle Match?
on July 27th, 2011 at 2:01 PMBy Kent Stonecipher, Oklahoma City Firearms Examiner (courtesy of the CMP newsletter)- Choosing a rifle to shoot in the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s Vintage Sniper Rifle Match has been more of a problem than I anticipated. I fully expected to use a replica 1903A4 that I had put together a few years ago but issues with the original Weaver scope once I started to shoot it past a couple of hundred yards ruled that out. In fact the requirement to fire the rifles from 300 and especially 600 yards has severely limited my choices.
