The new federal Duck Stamp went on sale in late June. A remarkable 98 percent of the proceeds from the sale of this $15 stamp supports wetlands acquisition for the National Wildlife Refuge System. Many hunters, conservationists, birders and other wildlife enthusiasts display their ducks stamp proudly to help educate others about wildlife conservation. All waterfowl hunters age 16 and older are required to purchase and carry a current Federal Duck Stamp, Since 1934, Federal Duck Stamp sales have raised more than $750 million to protect more than 5.3 million acres of wetlands in a 50 states and U.S. territories.
